Milk Peel at Elite Aesthetics

As most of you will know from my social media, I have been attending Elite Aesthetics for a series of treatments on my face to help improve my skin. Emma, the proprietor is a nurse and highly qualified in every aspect of skincare so she designed a program of treatments specially suited to my skin type and improving its appearance, texture and acne prone tendencies.
I started off with a facial which helped to declass my pores and exfoliate the skin. I then had the microdermabrasion treatment which was fantastic for smoothing the surface and I am now awaiting the third in a series of four Milk Peels.

The Milk peel treatment is a clinically-tested chemical peel system that targets dull skin, fine lines, folliculitis and complexion irregularities. It restores luminosity, boosts collagen production and leaves patients with a natural, more even complexion.

In preparation for the Milk peel, I started prepping my skin 2 weeks prior to my first facial with a glycolic acid based cleanser. This just takes the place of your usual cleanser and feels really nice on your skin.

The treatment lasts 30mins in total - consisting of several steps.
Firstly your skin is cleansed with a pre-peel glycolic cleanser and then the milk juvenating peel product is applied all over the area. At the time of application you feel a slight tinging sensation meaning that the product is working well on your skin. A heating sensation is normal and I was given a fan to gently fan the skin and reduce the heat sensation - as much as it was a little warm, it was never unbearable or sore!
The peel remains on the skin for a timed period and is then deactivated with cold water.
An advanced post treatment skin specific healing cream is applied to the skin which feels so nourishing and moisturising.
A post treatment individualised home skin care package was prepared for me to take home then and I used nothing but my own cleanser and the specialised cream for four days after each treatment.

In the initial four days, my skin did peel slightly and feel quite dry but I kept applying the cream and by the fourth day, this had vanishing and my skin felt amazing.
I have had less breakouts, my skin looks and feels totally different and my makeup sits very differently on my face.
I am now half way through the series of four and I cannot wait to see what my skin looks like when I have finished.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Emma, Sarah and the team at Elite for all of these wonderful treatments and for transforming my skin. I had got to the stage where I was miserable with my skins appearance and Emma had helped to transform it and make it feel brand new!
I highly recommend that you contact Emma if you have any skin worries of your own! You can find her on Facebook HERE or you can call the clinic on (0044) 77 12332154!
You will not be disappointed!

Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray

Just before Christmas I received an amazing parcel of Urban Decay products thanks to The Loop in Dublin and Cork Airports. This amazing goody bag consisted of the Vice Eye-Shadow Palette, the Gwen Stefani Eye-Shadow Palette, the Naked Flush Palette, the Eye-Shadow Primer Potion and the Makeup setting spray. I honestly felt like Christmas came early and I couldn't wait to try out each product and review them for you guys!
The first one that I wanted to try was the Makeup Setting Spray. I had tried a bit of this on my arm at a makeup demonstration before and I couldn't believe how long it lasted so I was really excited to try it on my face.
I was attending a wedding and needed my makeup to stay in place all day so this was the perfect opportunity to give it a go. I applied my makeup as normal, sprayed it on and away I went.
Throughout the day, I checked my makeup over and over again to see if it needed touched up or changed in anyway and every time I looked, it still was as fresh as it had been when first applied.
The venue of the wedding was very warm and humid so I did give myself a little dust of powder in the late evening as my makeup had become a little shiny, but it still hadn't moved at all!
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who, like me, hates having to constantly touch up makeup on a night out or at a day long event such as a wedding. You go out looking flawless and half way through the day your make up is melting off your face but this little miracle bottle really stops this happening! It is perfect to keep you looking pretty and flawless all day long.
If you are flying from Dublin or Cork Airport you can pick up this product for just €24.65 which is an amazing bargain. All products at The Loop are at least 15% cheaper than high street prices so I would definitely suggest picking one up on your travels.
Keep an eye out for my reviews of the rest of these fab Urban Decay products coming soon!

Fabulous Faux Fur

Lets be honest - are you even Irish if someone asks you where you got your outfit and your answer isn't Penneys?
I love the shock that ensues when you boast about how cheap it was and the rush of excitement on the peoples faces when they think of rushing to get the same thing the next day!
I picked up this faux fur jacket in Penneys in Letterkenny a few weeks ago for just €40 and some would be forgiven for mistaking it for a more expensive coat. I have previously paid anything from €80 to €250 for faux fur and I would easily have done the same if I had found this jacket in a more expensive store. The quality, the colour and the cosiness are all such high quality that it really was a bargain and with the horrid weather forecast predicted for the coming weeks, it seems I bought it just on time! Hurry to grab yours whilst stock lasts!

New Years Eve 2015

Happy New Year Everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely evening and got to wave goodbye to 2015 surrounded by family and friends. Whatever the last year has brought you, think of today as the first day of a new chapter... a day to continue successes or to make opportunities for new ones!

I was so ill yesterday evening, I have had the flu for the past few days and was hoping to feel better to enjoy the celebrations but unfortunately I still felt really rough. Nevertheless, I wasn't about to miss out on a night out so I trowelled on a bucket load of makeup and went out for dinner with my family, my boyfriend and some friends.
For the evening, I wore an outfit from Yellowmoon Clothing in Derry. I absolutely loved this look and really felt like a fairy in this tutu and sparkly top. Although I am not your typical girly girl, I would literally live in tutu's every day for the rest of my life if it were acceptable!
I accessorised the look with some rose gold jewellery, nude heels and a multi-colour Louis Vuitton handbag. I did cut the night a little short and was home in a hoody before most people had even hit the dance floor but for the few hours that I wore this look, I felt truly amazing!

So heres to 2016 everyone! Lets make it one to remember!
