Casual in Jeans

IMG_0766

The last few weeks have been really hectic for me, what with working in Milan with ID2015, launching my first fashion collection, college work and many other projects relating to my blog, so sometimes its just nice to put on a pair of jeans and go hang out with friends.
This outfit was for some casual drinks as part of my (extended) birthday celebrations. I never really wear jeans out because I am conscious of my legs (girl problems right?), so it was a pleasant change to put them on and actually feel good in them.
I have told you before about the miracle jeans that are River Islands "Molly" jeggings. They look just like regular jeans but have all of the stretch of leggings which mould to any body shape. I, for example, am 3 different sizes in my waist, hips and leg length and I can never usually find jeans that fit perfectly without needing to be altered. Trust me girls, if you have the same problem then "molly" will be your new best friend.
I guess the key to me being so relaxed in this outfit was definitely my oversized top. I bought it a few sizes too big as I wanted it to hang off my shoulder. I felt super comfortable and still felt quite glamorous. If you had have told me in my teens that I would feel glamorous in anything that wasn't figure hugging, I would have laughed, but I guess that is the joys of "growing up".
I chose some rose gold accessories to maintain the nude effect of the look and added a simple pair of Topshop court shoes to complete my outfit.
Sometimes it feels so good to embrace the casual look and face your fashion fears...
Jeans on a night out? Conquered!
Next step... Lycra...
Just kidding! :)

Powder 'n' Pout Pro Make-Up Brushes

In this current climate, I am a huge believer in supporting local - particularly when the local brands are every bit as good, if not better than the market leaders. This is why, when I received a package of brand new Powder 'n' Pout make up brushes, I was truly delighted.
Powder 'n' Pout is a salon in Carndonagh, Co.Donegal that specialises in Hair Dressing and Beauty and their latest venture with these fabulous brushes is set to put their name on the map.
I have used many brushes in my time, from MAC to Primark and in my opinion these ones are up there with the best of them! Check out my video above to see them in action for my everyday makeup routine.
The brushes that I used are as follows:
The Angled Brush - €14
The Duo Crease - €10
The Concealer - €7
The Detail Contour - €8
The Rounded Brush - €18
I also have a few more brushes that I will be demonstrating for my evening make up routine in the coming weeks! I hope you like them!

Birthday Celebration Outfit Details

IMG_2981

After posting a snap of my "birthday celebration" outfit on my Facebook, Snapchat & Instagram sites last night, I had an amazing reaction from you guys. I had hundreds of mails asking where my dress was from, where I got my shoes and who coloured my hair for me, so here are the details just for you!

My dress is from House of CB - one of my favourite online boutiques. Their dresses are perfect for any body shape and give you that extra bit of security with their stretch material and make you feel comfortable, even when wearing a body con shape.

My hair was coloured and cut by one of my best friends and hairdresser Tara from Tara Henderson International. Tara is an award winning hairdresser and member of the Northern Irish Hairdressing team. She really listens to what you want and encourages you to take chances with your hair and be brave! This was the most drastic change I have ever made to my hair but I absolutely love it.

My Shoes were from Topshop - they are the perfect nude shoe with a long pointy toe which really flatters any leg shape. The colour was perfect for my dress and looked great with a tan.
(My tan last night was St. Moriz liquid spray - just €4.99)

I then added some rose gold jewellery to complete my look. I had an amazing night celebrating with my boyfriend and some great friends and although I'm approaching another year older, I cannot wait to see what it has in store for me!
Thanks so much for all of the enquiries! I love knowing that you like what I am wearing and it's always great to hear from you guys.
