On New Years Day in the year 2000, my family and I went to one of Ireland's finest landmarks, "Grianan of Aileach", to watch the first sunset of the new Millennium.
Every New Years Day since then I love to pick a different landmark to visit and keep the tradition going.
2013 marks the beginning of the "City of Culture" for Derry/Londonderry so what better place to watch the sunset than the iconic Peace Bridge which stretches across the River Foyle, joining a once divided city.
I decided to dress casually for the evening walk, wearing a pair of vintage boots which I borrowed from my Mum and an embellished jacket from River Island. I also dug out one of my first ever Guess handbags which I love and will never go out of fashion!
I am so excited for what 2013 has to offer and particularly to see what the City of Culture brings to Derry/Londonderry. I hope it has kicked off in style for each and every one of you and that it brings peace to all...
