Sequins and Glamour

In my last post I told you about Celeb Stylist and Winner of E4's Great British Hairdresser Keris Weir and her tour of Ireland with Pop-Up salons and hairdressing seminars.

After being chosen by Keris to model for one such seminar during her visit to Tara Henderson International salon, I was delighted to get the opportunity to work with her on a grander scale with this high fashion photo shoot.

Being quite blessed with extra thick, long hair, I have never really considered using any kind of hair extensions or weaves, besides my clip in ponytail which I showed you in my recent holiday pictures. 

I did not think that a weave would make much difference to my natural hair. I was wrong!

Putting my faith firmly in Keris' hands, I was transformed into a red carpet siren with more voluminous hair than I could ever imagine.

Keris has just released her own brand of Hair Weaves and Extensions called "Keris Locks" and to achieve this incredibly glamourous style, she used two clip-in weaves from her range (which will be available here in the coming days,) one extra long underneath and a shorter version with more curls above. My own hair was then expertly styled to blend the look together.

Although I may not achieve quite such a chic look myself, I could not resist buying both of these weaves as they are the perfect accessory to change a look from nice... to WOW!

I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants longer, thicker hair, or if, like me, your hair is already thick, they can be layered to create a whole new style with huge impact!

My Make-up for the shoot was applied by the talented Tara Henderson, owner of the salon. 

Her make-up skills never fail to amaze me. With every application, I feel like a different person and I love how she can use colours and techniques to compliment any outfit.

I styled the shoot myself with an amazing vintage sequin dress from Boudoir Boutique which I had to get my hands on as soon as I saw it. It is the epitome of Glamour and a perfect ode to "The Sequin Cinderella"
