Last Sunday saw the launch of the Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle fashion show in the Europa hotel, Belfast and I was delighted to be asked to attend the event by Kerrie from OurEventsNI.
We were greeted at the door with goody bags and shown into the function room where lots of fashion, beauty and lifestyle related companies had set up their displays.
It was lovely to wander around at leisure and peruse the stunning items on display.
One of the first stands I came to was by E-Dazzles Jewellery and I was amazed to learn that each piece of jewellery was hand-crafted. The pearl based designs were so beautiful and I even ordered a pair of drop pearl earrings which were specially made for me and delivered within a few days! I cannot wait to photograph them and share with you.
I was totally in awe of the jewellery on offer from Stella and Dot. Beautiful creations, from precious stones to intricate filigre lace designs.
The most colourful stand was by Pamela Irwin Textile Designer, with fun and funky pieces crafted from scrabble pieces, measuring tapes and other household items. I couldn't resist buying a cute little ring with the letter "N" on it.
Perhaps the most innovative design on show was from "The Bejewelled Bride." They had invented the Bridal Flip-flop. A comfortable alternative to the wedding shoe for the reception. High enough to keep the dress from the floor and completely interchangeable with velro designs for the front.
"Fashion Forum" fashion consultants were on hand for any advice or styling needs and I am very much looking forward to working with them at "Fashion Forums step into Spring/Summer Workshop" on 29th of April in the Ramada Hotel, Belfast.
Before going downstairs to take our seats for the fashion show, I made a cheeky stop off at the cupcake stand by Richmond Creative Creations where I bought a gorgeous lemon cake.
Whoever said Fashionistas don't eat?
The catwalk show was amazing, with breathtaking designs on show from "Nor Lisa Fashion" and "Dave Henderson" to name but a few.
As the event took place on a sunny afternoon, I chose to wear a summery dress from "All Saints Spitalfields" matched with floral platforms and white/multicolour accessories from Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs!
