Happy New Year

IMG_4443

Well it is New Years Eve, drawing to a close one of the most amazing years of my life.
As sad I will be to see the back of 2012 I am so excited for what the next one has to bring for myself and for my blog "The Sequin Cinderella" which has gone from strength to strength thanks to all of you wonderful readers!
Today I am enjoying the mild weather which is most unusual for this time of year, keeping it casual with a sheepskin waterfall jacket and some skinny jeans, but tonight I shall be glamming it up with a beautiful beaded dress to bring in the new year in style! I will share my choice with you in my next post but in the mean time I would love to hear what you will be wearing as the clock strikes midnight?
I wish all of you a very happy and prosperous New Year and I hope you enjoy your celebrations whatever they may entail!
Heres to 2013!
Nicola x

Kabelo Silk

IMG_3287

I'm sure a lot of you girls (and guys) can relate to the fashion dilemma that is frizzy hair.
As an "inbetweener" myself, my hair is neither straight nor curly. If I were to let it dry naturally it would be a ball of frizz and I don't mean the kind that was in fashion last season.
I have tried almost every hair smoothing product on the market and although a lot of them have done the job, there has never really been one that I would say has ticked all of the boxes.
Until Now...
I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to sample the new miracle product "Kabelo Silk" by the Irish distributers "Savvy and Shine Hair Products".
At first I was a little sceptical due to previous experiences but upon trying "Kabelo Silk' I was more than pleasantly surprised.
I followed the step by step guide on the packaging, first washing my hair and towel drying.
I then distributed the product evenly throughout my hair and dried and straightened as normal.
As you can see from the photographs below, my hair was extremely frizzy after towel drying and it usually takes a mixture of products to achieve any kind of a shine, whereas, with Kabelo, it just takes one step to achieve my goal of super smooth, luscious locks. I absolutely loved the results and my hair had a glow that I had not seen from it since before the days of straighteners and curling tongs.
"Kabelo Silk" is not just for people with frizzy hair,
"it can be used in so many different ways to meet the needs of everyday hair problems. Besides the repairing, conditioning and smoothing effects, it can be used as a blowdrying tool, making the hair easier to work with. It can also be used with a flat iron to achieve a 3-day-straight effect ready for the weekend."
I would like to say a huge thank you to Mark Harrigan from "Savvy and Shine" for introducing me to this amazing product and I would strongly recommend it to you all, no matter what type of hair issue you may have. You only have to check out the pictures below to see the amazing results for yourself.

Happy Christmas 2012

IMG_4377

Happy Christmas Everyone x
I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful festivities that this magical time of year has to offer!
No matter what age I am, I tend to embrace my inner child at Christmas. I still get that tingle of excitement at the thought of waking up early and unwrapping presents just as if I were five years old waiting on Santa Claus to visit.
The holidays encompass four of my favourite words - Family, Friends, Food and Fashion.
A perfect combination for the most exciting day of the year!
More so than any other time of year, at Christmas I love to play around with styles. It is so nice to casually cuddle up in new pyjamas and watch Christmas films by the fire, but it is also the perfect time of year to embrace a more elegant, glamorous look for the party season.
This red dress is one of my old favourites, it is so versatile and could carry me from a night out on the tiles to a slightly more glamourous evening occasion. The floaty material is so light and easy to wear and the colour is just perfect to compliment the traditional decorations around my home.
Never being one to play it safe, however, I decided to jazz my dress up a little with a bejewelled Spider necklace from Boudoir Boutique. Spiders may not be the ideal Christmas accessory but when they come with a touch of sparkle how could anyone refuse?
I really hope Santa has been good to you all and I would love to hear about all of the fabulous gifts you have received!
I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas!
Nicola x
